How to Check if Your Laptop Has a Dual Video Setup (Render Only Card)

When a laptop has a high powered graphics card, it’s usually not enabled as the default video processor to conserve battery life.

To check if you have one of these setups, right click on a program (such as Reality) on your desktop and look for the following option:

If you have a second, high powered card it will show up in this list. Choose that option to run the program using that high powered card. If you’d like to set it as the default to avoid having to choose this every time you can do it from your graphics control panel for whichever brand of card you’re using.
